Join us at One Picture, where we believe the most powerful insights come from understanding people in the real world — how they live, think and make consumer decisions in context. We’re a culturally-led insights and strategy agency. Our core purpose is to provide opportunities for the clients and brands we work with and for our team. That means we don’t just gather data — we get under the surface of human behaviour to uncover what really matters, and turn that into clear, commercially relevant outputs for our clients. We work closely with Sainsbury’s, Xero and Ancestry to name a few. We’re now seeking a Junior Strategist to join our London team (in a hybrid working model, with some time each week in the London office).
What you’ll do:
- Help keep projects running smoothly — managing tasks, timelines and logistics.
- Support fieldwork and online communities, keeping everything organised and on track.
- Get involved in shaping research — from discussion guides to questionnaire design.
- Work with both qualitative and quantitative data, spotting patterns and early insights.
- Turn data into something meaningful — helping to build clear, engaging presentations.
- Support the team in creating work that is not just insightful, but actionable.
You’ll be learning by doing — with plenty of support, but also real responsibility from Day One.
What we’re looking for:
- A foundation in research.
- A 1st or 2:1 degree (any relevant discipline), ideally with hands-on research experience (e.g. dissertation, project or placement).
- Exposure to qualitative and quantitative methods, and an understanding of how insight drives commercial decisions.
- Ideally, some experience applying these methods to gather insights in a real-world or work-based setting.
Core skills:
- Comfortable working with data — including charting and structuring outputs.
- Experience building presentations that tell a clear story.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel) and Google Workspace.
- Some experience with (or understanding of) scripting/survey tools.
How you’ll show up:
- Curious – interested in people, culture and behaviour.
- Proactive – you don’t wait to be asked, you get stuck in.
- Organised – able to juggle tasks and keep things moving.
- Confident – happy to contribute ideas and ask questions.
- Eager to learn – open to feedback and keen to develop quickly.
- Practical about AI – open to using new tools to work smarter.
What you’ll get from One Picture:
- The opportunity to build a career in insight and strategy, not just research support.
- Early exposure to real client work, with meaningful responsibility from the start.
- A chance to work across diverse sectors, audiences and methodologies.
- Ongoing learning through hands-on experience, mentoring and feedback.
- A collaborative, supportive team where you can develop your voice, thinking and craft.
- A culture that values curiosity, initiative and fresh perspectives.
How to apply:
Send us your CV and a short cover letter that details:
- A piece of research you’ve worked on (and what you learnt from it).
- Why you’re interested in research and insights.
