One of Us is looking for a Creature / Character modeller who has experience in creating photo realistic Fantasy and real life Creatures / Characters for VFX projects. Alongside good technical knowledge of character / creature workflows within VFX, the candidate must also have a good eye for detail that is capable of matching onset data and also the ability to translate reference material into photo real fantasy creatures. Good knowledge of working with downstream departments (Rigging, CFX and Animation) is required alongside Anatomy knowledge of both humans and creatures. Experience of Facial modelling utilising FACS of both human and animal will also be a part of the role. A portfolio of work that demonstrates these qualities is required for consideration towards this role.
Responsibilities
- Build models with good / clean Topology and UV's.
- Finaling shots utilising shotsculpting.
- Build and present Anatomical Diagnostics of Creatures.
- Sculpting of Displacement maps for Characters / creatures.
- Modelling of clothing that matches photogrammetry data sets for Digital doubles.
- Creation of FACS based face shapes that work within OOU's facial pipeline.
- Contributing to workflow and pipeline discussions for Characters and creatures and also aiding in documenting workflows as needed.
What we are looking for
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Experience in using Maya, Zbrush, Wrap 3d (Optical flow set ups and processing of FACS data).
- Experienced in Shotsculpting (Mush 3d and Houdini).
- Experience in modelling of LOD's and Simulation / technical meshes for creatures.
- An understanding of rigging, animation and CFX requirements.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Team oriented crew member with good communication skills.
