We are seeking a creative and highly motivated Social Media & Business Development Manager to join our team. This position will focus on curating, creating, and managing content for the social media platforms to enhance our online presence, build brand awareness, and engage with our audience. As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and others, ensuring our messaging aligns with the company’s values and business objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, a deep understanding of social media trends, and a passion for building community and fostering engagement. Occasionally, you may be required to attend industry events and conferences to capture content and expand the company’s visibility in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation & Editing
- Develop, edit, and curate engaging content (including text, graphics, videos, and articles) for various social media platforms.
- Craft compelling social media posts that highlight the company’s products, services, and industry expertise, tailored to each platform’s audience and format.
- Maintain a consistent voice and messaging that aligns with the company’s brand and values.
- Develop and implement social media strategies to increase engagement, drive traffic to the company website, and promote products and services.
- Monitor and analyze social media trends to identify new opportunities for content creation and audience engagement.
- Plan and execute social media campaigns that align with marketing initiatives and company goals.
- Community Management
- Engage with followers and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Build and maintain relationships with key influencers, industry professionals, and potential clients through social media platforms.
- Occasionally attend industry events, conferences, or webinars to capture content for social media platforms.
- Represent the company at events and help expand its visibility and online engagement.
- Collaboration with Marketing & Business Development Teams
- Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to align social media efforts with broader marketing campaigns and business goals.
- Assist with content planning for special product launches, events, and initiatives that require cross-functional input.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing, preferably within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries.
- Proven experience creating engaging content and growing a brand’s social media presence.
- Strong proficiency in social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.), with an understanding of platform-specific best practices.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and engaging content.
- Ability to think creatively and outside the box to develop fresh and engaging ideas for social media.
- Comfortable with occasional travel for industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
