As our Technical Services Support Technician, you will work closely with the Academy Senior Technician to deliver 1st and 2nd line technical support across the school. You will be at the heart of our daily operations—keeping classroom technology running smoothly, supporting staff and pupils, and helping maintain a safe, secure digital environment in line with Department for Education (DfE) standards.

Contract: Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide prompt 1st/2nd line troubleshooting for PCs, laptops, tablets, interactive whiteboards, and AV equipment across classrooms and offices.
- Assist in running 3-2-1 system backups, executing software patch cycles, managing user accounts, and supporting network maintenance.
- Help test and maintain web-filtering and monitoring tools in line with DfE standards and Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).
- Deploy and support digital accessibility tools (e.g., text-to-speech, screen readers) to ensure SEND pupils can fully access learning.
- Set up AV and sound systems for school assemblies, special events, and faith celebrations.
About You
- We are looking for someone who combines technical curiosity with a positive, service-oriented mindset (Seva).
- GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
- Practical experience or a Level 3 qualification in IT / Computer Science.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows OS, cloud platforms (Google Workspace), and basic hardware troubleshooting.
- A supportive, patient approach when working with pupils and non-technical staff.
- Respect for and commitment to upholding the Sikh faith ethos, values, and community spirit of the Academy.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn school cyber security hygiene and digital safeguarding duties.
