Join One Motion as a Self-Employed Delivery Driver delivering parcels in a fixed local area. This is a physical and fast-paced role, but once you learn your route, the job is straightforward. We are looking for reliable, friendly, and hard-working drivers who can deliver excellent customer service and work independently once trained.
What the role involves
- Delivering parcels safely, on time, and professionally in your local area.
- This is an active role where you will be in and out of the van throughout the day, completing between 90 and 140 stops per day.
- Deliveries are mainly to houses, with some flats and businesses.
- Most parcels are small to medium in size, although some can be heavier.
Your Day Will Look Like This
- Arrive at the depot between 06:30 and 07:30am.
- Find your assigned route and load your own parcels into the van.
- Loading usually takes 30 to 60 minutes, depending on parcel count.
- Leave the depot and start your route using the provided device.
- Complete 90 to 140 stops per day.
- Deliver mainly to houses, with some flats and businesses.
- Be in and out of the van throughout the day.
- Handle mostly small and medium parcels, with some heavier items.
- Return to the depot once your route is finished to de-brief and complete end-of-day procedures.
Training
- Provided and paid, no previous multi-drop experience is required, as full training is provided.
- 2 days classroom training covering systems, delivery device, and procedures.
- 2 to 3 days ride-along training with an experienced Lead Driver or On-Site Manager.
- Training on loading, route management, delivery process, and best practices.
- £100 per training day.
- Ongoing support even after training is completed.
Working pattern
- Routes available 6 to 7 days per week.
- Typical delivery time is 6 to 9 hours per day.
- Faster and more organised drivers usually finish earlier.
- Consistent work available year-round.
