This is an opportunity to practise high‑quality, evidence‑based medicine from wherever you are, while staying connected with colleagues through daily huddles, clinical discussions, and peer support. If you’re looking for variety, flexibility, and the chance to make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.

We can consider either a permanent or fixed‑term contract. You will work remotely for one of our surgeries, most probably Minehead Medical Centre, our practice in Somerset, as a triaging GP using EMIS, SystmOne and Accurx Triage. To ensure timely care for all patients, you must be available to work during practice hours (8:00am–6:30pm), while still benefiting from the flexibility of a remote role. This is a part‑time position of 30 hours per week. The successful candidate must be available to work on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient‑focused primary care via telephone, video, and e‑consults via Accurx.
  • Safely triage and complete all Accurx medical requests received during core hours (8:00am–6:30pm), following the company's Standard Operating Procedure.
  • Ensure all patients have a clear, allocated outcome (same‑day appointment, routine appointment, telephone appointment, e‑consult, or safe signposting).
  • Conduct and complete medical requests suitable for e‑consult using Accurx.
  • Complete Accurx admin requests requiring GP input.
  • Prioritise and complete daily site clinical admin tasks (pathology, tasks, letters, medication requests).
  • Stay in contact with the site team via MS Teams throughout the day, attending the daily huddle and being available for clinical queries.
  • Contribute to service innovation, audits, and continuous improvement.
  • At all times, follow company policies and procedures relating to operating processes, complaints, significant event reporting and raising concerns.

Qualifications:

  • GMC registered GP on the GP Specialty Register and Performance List.
  • Minimum 1 year post‑CCT experience.
  • Demonstrable experience of remote GP consultations and triage using Accurx.
  • Able to work 3 days (30 hours) per week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; the full‑time equivalent is 40 hours per week.
  • Confident using digital consultation platforms (Accurx) and clinical systems (EMIS and SystmOne).
  • UK‑based, with the right to work and a valid visa already in place.
  • Strong communication skills in a remote environment: active listening, clear safety‑netting, and effective collaboration.
  • Proactive, adaptable, digitally fluent, and detail‑oriented.
