Join Our Team as a Patient Navigator/Medical Receptionist in Milton Keynes! Fixed-Term Contract 3 or 6 months! We are seeking a Medical Receptionist, also known as Patient Navigator, to join our teams in Milton Keynes. Successful candidates should be available to work across Whitehouse Surgery, Brooklands Health Centre and Neath Hill Health Centre when needed. You will only be required to work at one site per day. In this essential role, you’ll ensure the smooth running of the surgery, providing patients with a positive experience while supporting our team to deliver outstanding care. We understand how important your role is and will value your contributions every step of the way.
What We’re Looking For

- Prior experience in healthcare or administrative roles is desirable, but not essential. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients and visitors, managing check‑ins, and providing appointment information.
- Answering phone calls and handling patient inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
- Scheduling and managing appointments using our system.
- Processing prescription requests from patients and pharmacies.
- Handling patient queries in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and letters, with accuracy.
- Keeping the reception area tidy and ensuring smooth handovers for colleagues.
- Completing administrative tasks such as patient registrations and updates.
What You’ll Bring
