Join Our Team as a Patient Navigator/Medical Receptionist in Milton Keynes! This is a 0-hours (Bank) contract, providing flexible work to cover staff sickness, annual leave, and periods of increased demand across our Milton Keynes surgeries. There are no guaranteed minimum hours. Shifts will be offered as and when required, and successful candidates should be available to work across Whitehouse Surgery, Brooklands Health Centre and Neath Hill Health Centre when needed. You will only be required to work at one site per day.

What We’re Looking For

  • A confident communicator with a friendly, patient, and professional attitude.
  • Someone who can handle a fast‑paced, demanding environment with ease.
  • Prior experience in healthcare or administrative roles is desirable, but not essential. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming patients and visitors, managing check‑ins, and providing appointment information.
  • Answering phone calls and handling patient inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
  • Scheduling and managing appointments using our system.
  • Processing prescription requests from patients and pharmacies.
  • Handling patient queries in person, over the phone, and via e‑mail.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including e‑mail and letters, with accuracy.
  • Keeping the reception area tidy and ensuring smooth handovers for colleagues.
  • Completing administrative tasks such as patient registrations and updates.

What You’ll Bring

  • Confidence in using IT systems and basic office software.
