Minehead Medical Centre is looking for an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join its multidisciplinary team and help transform and modernise pathways of care, ensuring safe and effective sharing of skills across professional boundaries. Rated ‘Good’ by the CQC, the practice is part of OneMedical Group, an independent family‑run organisation providing GP, urgent care and community services across the UK with a strong commitment to improving outcomes for patients, colleagues and communities.
Qualifications
- Qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner with current NMC / HCPC registration
- Hold an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent Level 7 qualification, including a recognised Advanced Physical Assessment and Minor Illness/Injuries modules
- Certified Independent Prescriber (V300)
- Primary care experience, including minor illness management
- Confident in managing whole episodes of care while working collaboratively within a wider multidisciplinary team
- Strong clinical reasoning and sound decision‑making abilities
- Excellent communication skills, patience, and a friendly, approachable manner
- Effective in complex and high‑pressure situations
- Flexible, proactive, and able to inspire and lead others
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective, and compliant care to patients across the practice
- Make autonomous clinical decisions in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
- Manage planned and urgent primary care presentations, including minor illness
- Work closely within a multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive the right care at the right time
- Contribute to clinical governance and quality improvement alongside the Lead Nurse
- Provide clinical leadership within the practice and support high standards of care
