Buyer / supply chain manager

Job Summary:
Join our team at One Hundred Stars Trading Ltd, a prominent textile wholesale and retail company, as a buyer and supply chain manager. We are an independent brand, looking for an experienced buyer to join our team . We are not fast fashion . We design timeless good quality clothing in house . This role would enhance our ethical and sustainable policies reporting directly to the managing director.

Responsibilities:

Ordering and Tracking all products from order, to import then to delivery into our Uk and French warehouses.

• Forecasting forward sales and intake requirements for all our clothing and accessory products using inventory planning tools.
• Placing all purchase orders, including labels and packaging and being responsible for product journey from factory to delivery in the UK
• Review historical sales figures and record lessons learned on a continuous basis
• Liaising with factories and Product Team to ensure shipment dates are met for ongoing and new lines.
• Liaising with shipping and deliveries to ensure goods arrive and are processed and delivered on time.
• Working with various departments across buying, development, design, and sales
• Working with all departments to ensure lead times are met
• Working with major store groups in the UK, EU and the US.
• Preparing weekly management reports for the MD

We would be looking for.

• Strong commercial awareness
• Minimum of 3 years\’ experience.
• Highly numerate and analytical with excellent attention to detail
• Effective communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business
• Merchandising experiences within the retail and wholesale sector
• Ability to prioritise effectively with a methodical and logical approach to the workload
• Excellent IT skills. Excellent numerical and analytical skills – proficient in the use of Excel, as well as being confident on other Microsoft programs
• A good all round knowledge of current industry legislation
• Experience in international purchasing and freight.
