One Hiring are once again working in partnership with a high-growth, independent tax firm that continues to attract and retain top-tier talent. They are hiring a Valuations Director to anchor valuations in their London office. This is one of the UK’s fastest growing specialist tax practices, founded by an ex big 4 Partner with a mandate to deliver big 4 quality tax advisory to the mid market.
You’ll work as number two on the ground alongside the Head of Valuations, who has nearly 20 years’ experience. You’ll be owning delivery and supporting growth in London. Valuations is forecast to grow 50% over the next three years, and this hire is a key part of that plan. Thanks to the firm’s continued national expansion, progression to Partner is genuinely achievable, not aspirational.
As Valuations Director, you’ll take a leading role across a broad range of complex and interesting work, including:
- Tax-advantaged option plans
- Employment related securities and share incentives
- Capital Gains Tax market value assessments
- Corporate reorganisations and restructurings
- Probate and debt valuations
- Sweet equity and post transaction valuations
Clients range from start-ups to £1bn+ turnover businesses some of which are household names!
Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Lead and review valuation projects end-to-end with minimal supervision
- Act as a senior adviser to clients and intermediaries
- Own delivery quality and technical sign-off
- Help scale the London valuations presence (no prior BD experience required - they will support you if you’re newer D / experienced SM)
- Mentor and develop junior team members and graduates
- Contribute to wider firm initiatives and growth plans
- Gradually build relationships in the London market (supported, not pressured)
