This role offers strong advisory exposure, working with some of the UK’s largest financial institutions on complex, high-profile indirect tax matters. As an FS Indirect Tax Manager, you’ll work with major financial institutions on a broad range of complex VAT advisory and compliance matters. Clients include banks, asset managers, insurers, fintechs, and wider FS businesses operating in the UK and internationally. You’ll advise on technical VAT issues, business restructures, operating models, digital VAT developments, and wider indirect tax challenges impacting the FS sector.

The role combines technical delivery with relationship management, team leadership, and business development responsibilities. You’ll work closely with senior leadership across the national practice, gaining exposure to high-profile projects while helping mentor and develop junior team members within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Skills & Experience Required

  • UK VAT experience gained within practice, industry, or HMRC
  • Exposure to VAT advisory work and delivering commercially focused client solutions
  • ATT, CTA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred
  • Strong UK VAT technical knowledge
  • Financial Services experience preferred, but not essential
