About the Role
You will lead and execute a wide spectrum of valuation assignments across different sectors and asset classes. Manage teams, engage with clients, and contribute to business development. Key Responsibilities
- Own valuation projects end-to-end: define scope, develop workplan, execute analysis, build models, and deliver reports.
- Supervise, mentor, and manage junior and mid‑level valuers.
- Liaise with clients, understand their objectives, manage expectations and deliver insights.
- Assist senior stakeholders in drafting proposals and winning new engagements.
- Prepare project budgets, monitor utilization, and track financial performance (WIP, billing, recoveries).
- Ensure technical quality, consistency and compliance with internal guidelines and best practices.
- Conduct industry and comparables research, and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of valuation methodologies (e.g. DCF, market multiples, option pricing, intangible valuation).
- Support internal initiatives: process improvements, training, thought leadership, cross‑functional collaboration.
Required Skills & Experience
- Significant valuation experience gained in a reputable advisory or consulting environment.
- Strong track record in valuations for accounting (e.g. purchase price allocations, impairment testing), tax (e.g. share schemes, intangible asset transfers), and commercial purposes.
- Advanced financial modelling and spreadsheet skills.
- Proven team management / leadership experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (written reports, presentations).
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in finance, accounting, economics, or related discipline.
- Progress toward (or holding) a relevant professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CFA).
- Ability to juggle multiple engagements, meet deadlines, and work in a dynamic, fast‑paced setting.
- Experience with incentive schemes (e.g. share options, growth shares).
- Exposure to complex securities or derivatives.
- Experience with intangible asset valuation (brands, customer relationships, IP).
- Business development or client origination experience.
- Familiarity with valuation in contentious / dispute environments.
