One Hatfield Hospital are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and committed Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join our friendly Theatre team at One Hatfield Hospital.
You will be an experienced ODP or Registered Nurse who can demonstrate great communication and excellent clinical skills. You will be experienced in a wide range of surgical specialities but recent, demonstrable orthopaedic knowledge and skills is essential. A qualification as FSA would be desirable as would the ability to work in Recovery, under supervision.
Hours: FlexiBank shifts allocated as and when required
Salary: Pay per hour based on skillset and experience.
Theatre Scrub Practitioner FlexiBank
Reporting to the Theatre Manger, as a Theatre Scrub Practitioner you will be required to provide a high standard of individualised patient care as part of the operating theatre team.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with NMC or Operating Department Practitioner with HCPC
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years Band 5/6 clinical nursing experience in a theatre setting.
Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of patient care / needs in the theatre environment
- Experience of variety of surgical scrub skills with good Orthopaedic knowledge & competence.
- Evidence of leading a team within a clinical environment
- Proven experience of managing change within a clinical setting
- Interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to assess, plan and evaluate patient care
- Knowledge of research and evidence-based practice
- Teaching and assessing/mentorship
- Knowledge of CQC
- IT skills covering word and spreadsheet documents
- Effective oral and written skills
- Ability to work as member of a team and lead accordingly
- Dealing with emergency situations within operating theatre department
- Flexible approach to working
- Current UK Professional registration
- Surgical First Assisting
