One Hatfield Hospital, part of Phoenix Hospital Group, is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated registered nurse to join our friendly and dynamic Pre-Assessment team on a FlexiBank basis.
Reporting to the Pre-Assessment Lead, the successful Pre-Assessment Nurse will deliver high-quality pre-assessment care by clinically assessing patients, planning safe surgical pathways, performing specialist procedures, maintaining accurate records, and working autonomously and collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to ensure evidence-based, patient-centred care.
Please note: this is a FlexiBank role working on an 'as and when required' basis; you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff during periods of annual leave or absence.
Qualifications- Registered Nurse with NMC.
- Clinical nursing experience in acute surgical care and preferably experience in pre-assessment clinics.
- Proven ability to work independently and within a team.
- Demonstrable knowledge and skills and competency of required clinical practice.
- Phlebotomy, cannulation, ECGs, and intravenous antibiotics would be an advantage.
- Comprehensive written, numerical and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in computer skills using MS Office Suite and web-based reporting systems.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- A sound understanding of safeguarding principles and policies, with the ability to act appropriately to protect vulnerable individuals.
- Enthusiasm for cross-functional working within clinical departments as reasonably required.
- Experience in the private sector.
- Experience in pre-assessment clinics.
