One Health is seeking a fellowship‑trained Orthopaedic Consultant with a sub‑speciality in Foot & Ankle to support and grow the One Health Group's Orthopaedic Team.
The Role
This role involves assessing and treating NHS patients referred via the NHS e‑Referral System, ensuring care is delivered within national referral‑to‑treatment and diagnostic targets. Consultants will deliver outpatient clinics across a network of outreach locations and undertake surgical procedures within a range of independent sector hospitals. The role therefore requires flexibility and willingness to travel between sites. All consultants working with One Health are subject to onboarding and Clinical Governance approval processes and are required to hold practising privileges at relevant hospital sites.
About You
- Be fellowship‑trained in Foot & Ankle surgery
- Be on the GMC Specialist Register (Orthopaedics)
- Have no GMC restrictions or fitness‑to‑practise concerns
- Currently hold a substantive NHS post or a long‑term locum role (12+ months)
- If not currently in post, have previously held a substantive NHS consultant role for at least 3 years
You will also demonstrate:
- Experience in a similar role within the NHS or independent sector
- A professional, patient‑focused approach
- Excellent communication skills and an empathetic manner
- A strong understanding of patient confidentiality
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
