One Health is looking for a fellowship‑trained Orthopaedic Consultant with a sub‑specialty in Foot & Ankle to support and grow the One Health Group's Orthopaedic Team. This role will involve assessing and operating on NHS patients referred to One Health via the NHS e‑Referral System. Appointments will be held across a number of outreach clinic sites and operations will take place within a range of independent sector hospitals; the Consultant must therefore be prepared to travel.
Responsibilities
- Assess and operate on NHS patients referred through the NHS e‑Referral System.
- Hold appointments at multiple outreach clinic sites.
- Perform operations within independent sector hospitals.
Qualifications
- Fellowship‑trained Orthopaedic Consultant with a sub‑specialty in Foot & Ankle.
- Experience working in a similar role in a private or NHS setting.
- Professional outlook with an empathetic telephone manner.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality.
- Currently in a substantive NHS post or a long‑term locum post of more than 12 months.
- Alternatively, have been a substantive NHS consultant for at least 3 years before leaving the NHS.
