One Health is looking for a Consultant Neurophysiologist to support and grow the One Health Group Neurophysiology Team. The surgeon must be a medical practitioner on the GMC Specialist Register in Clinical Neurophysiology. The role involves assessing and operating on patients referred to One Health via the NHS e-Referral System. Patient consultations will be held across a number of outreach clinic sites, with a particular focus on South Yorkshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire. The Consultant must be prepared to travel.

The successful candidate will have experience working within a similar role in a private or NHS setting. You should have a professional outlook, empathetic telephone manner and understand the importance of patient confidentiality. The Candidate should be able to undertake all Neurophysiology requirements, including EMGs and NCSs as well as complex spinal cases.

To be considered for this position:

  • You should currently be in a substantive NHS post OR in a long-term locum post (more than 12 months).
  • If not in current NHS post, should have been a substantive NHS consultant for at least 3 years before leaving the NHS.
  • On GMC register and have no hearings or restrictions.
  • Should have relevant sub specialist qualifications (for example FRCS {orth} in Orthopaedics).
  • Be on the specialist register.

All surgeons who work with One Health will be subject to our onboarding process and approval from our Clinical Governance Lead.
