We are looking for a creative and driven Senior Mechanical Engineer who will lead the design, development, prototyping, and delivery of electromechanical systems, automated production line systems, and pressurised fluid delivery systems. The role is accountable for technical ownership of projects, mentoring junior engineers, and delivering production-ready solutions with urgency. It directly supports the Engineering department’s objectives:

  • Creating novel solutions in food coating application, soft food moulding, and related technologies to ensure and retain market leadership.
  • Lead the selection, design, prototyping, testing, and delivery of electromechanical systems and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Produce and maintain CAD models, technical specifications, drawings, BOMs, and related documentation.
  • Apply structured engineering methods (PDM, version control, quality documentation).
  • Identify bottlenecks in our current assets and implement hardware or software upgrades to boost OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
  • Manage and report on own projects with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate across the engineering function to progress multiple projects in parallel.
  • Lead or support asset care activities on the production line.

High Standards & Pride: Whether designing a new mechanism or writing a product specifications document, you care about excellence and efficiency. You know that in production, detail equals safety and quality.

Reliable & Optimistic: You’re a "glass-half-full" teammate who balances a positive attitude with the honesty needed to maintain high performance. You have a strong ambition to grow your technical toolkit as the business scales, and you want to partake in creating the building blocks of a strong and efficient company. On any given day, you might see an engineer helping production—we win and lose as one team.

In-Person Collaboration: We are an "in-person" team because we believe camaraderie and quick problem-solving happen best together in the workshop.

Minimum 5 years’ experience as a design and delivery engineer in electromechanical systems, automated manufacturing equipment, or pressurised fluid delivery systems, ideally within FMCG (experience in food coatings, liquid layers is a bonus).

Expert user of CAD, with strong experience producing specifications, drawings, and BOMs.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in prototype build and testing.
