Our disruptive, proprietary beeswax-based coating provides the benefits of plastic packaging without the waste. We are a bold, ambitious and fast-growing startup looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to help us build a household name in nutrition.
Executive Summary: As the Marketing Manager for One Good Thing (OGT), you will be responsible for the day to day running of marketing, turning our strategy into a scalable customer acquisition and retention activity. You will need to balance an analytical mindset with a passion for brand storytelling and creativity, overseeing our performance channels, website conversion and CRM strategy. You will lead our Marketing Executive, project-manage our external creative team and media agencies.
Key Objectives:
- Scalable Acquisition: Drive high-quality traffic and new customer acquisition across paid media, optimising blended CAC/ROAS targets.
- Lifecycle & CRM Planning: Design and map out a comprehensive email marketing and CRM calendar focused on reducing churn, increasing customer retention, and maximising customer lifetime value (LTV).
- Affiliate & Referral Ownership: Own the strategic growth, software implementation, and commercial targets for OGT’s affiliate and customer referral networks.
- Creative Team Management: Lead the strategic briefing and workflow management of our external graphic designer, videographer, and photographer.
- Team Leadership & Quality Control: Manage and develop the Marketing Executive, providing strategic direction and final sign-off on all email builds, social posts, marketing assets, and ad campaigns.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Delivery of Growth Strategy & Paid Media: Manage Budget & Channel Allocation: Plan and manage the performance marketing budget to maximise conversions and goals, shifting spend across paid social, paid search, Amazon and other digital channels as necessary.
- Affiliates & Referrals: Set the strategy, commission models and commercial targets for our affiliate platforms and customer word-of-mouth referral networks.
Creative Team Briefing & Asset Quality Assurance:
- Strategic Creative Briefing: Formulate and deliver comprehensive, data-backed creative briefs to our external graphic designer, videographer and photographer.
- Brand & Compliance Guardianship: Act as the final brand and compliance gatekeeper, reviewing and signing off on all marketing emails, social posts and ad variants before deployment.
CRM, Email & Organic Social Planning:
- Campaign Architecture: Concept and map out the overarching email marketing calendar (e.g., product launches, educational series, seasonal offers) and define automated lifecycle flows.
- Social Media Scheduling: Plan the long-term organic content and publishing schedule across OGT's digital channels to align with broader marketing and retail beats.
Ecommerce & Analytics:
- Storefront Merchandising: Oversee the daily maintenance and visual merchandising strategy of the OGT website and Amazon Brand Store.
- Performance Tracking: Utilise GA4, Triple Whale, and other attribution tools to provide weekly and monthly reporting on key growth metrics, LTV and retention.
Candidate Requirements:
- Industry Experience: 4+ years of marketing experience within a high-growth DTC ecommerce, subscription-based business or omnichannel retail brand.
- Leadership & Management: Proven experience mentoring direct reports and successfully managing external creative agencies, freelancers or contractors.
- Data & Platform Literacy: Deep strategic understanding of GA4, Shopify, Triple Whale and Meta/Google Ads Managers.
- The 'Outdoor DNA': A genuine passion for and active participation in cycling, running, hiking or other outdoor adventure activities.
- Commercial Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear creative direction and structural briefs.
Desirable (Non-Essential):
- Experience transitioning a brand from pure-play DTC into major physical retail networks.
- An existing understanding of Amazon Seller Central and Amazon Advertising workflows.
