Executive Summary: As Growth Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our growth. You are responsible for designing, executing and optimising a high-performance marketing engine that scales our UK DTC presence. You will combine an obsessive data-driven mindset with a creative heart. You will own new customer acquisition from awareness to conversion, and work closely with the team to maximise LTV:CAC ratios. You will work alongside the team to ensure organic advocacy and brand storytelling support growth.
Key Objectives:
- Scalable Acquisition: Drive high-quality traffic and new customer acquisition across paid social, paid search, affiliates and emerging channels while maintaining efficient CAC/ROAS targets.
- Scale Amazon Marketplace: Own and optimise the Amazon ecosystem, ensuring our brand store and advertising are top-tier and sales-efficient.
- Conversion Rate Optimisation: Maintain and merchandise our ecommerce platform to ensure a frictionless user journey from acquisition through to conversion.
- Data-Led Creativity: Bridge the gap between analytics and creative output, using performance data to brief the content team on high-converting assets.
- Full-Funnel Synergy: Collaborate across the marketing team to understand and optimise the entire user lifecycle, ensuring our ‘Outdoor DNA’ resonates at every touchpoint.
- AI-Driven Efficiency: Integrate generative and analytical AI tools into the marketing workflow to drive experimentation, content creation at scale, drive personalisation and enhance predictive modelling for customer acquisition.
- Future Readiness: Build systems and workflows that support scaling across new markets and new channels.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Performance Marketing & Paid Media: Lead the strategy and daily management of Meta, TikTok, Google and other paid media opportunities, focusing on constant testing and scaling.
- UGC & Content Management: Collaborate with the Community & Events Manager to transform organic athlete and creator content into high-performing paid media assets.
- Amazon Advertising: Full ownership of Amazon PPC, DSP and organic ranking strategies to maximise our presence on the marketplace.
- Channel Diversification: Proactively test and scale new marketing channels, including affiliates, podcasts and future out-of-home (OOH) digital integrations.
- Budget Management: Rigorously manage and allocate monthly performance budgets to maximise ROI and subscriber growth.
- Authenticity Policing: Ensure all advertising remains compliant with ASA regulations while maintaining an authentic aesthetic that resonates with our audience.
Ecommerce & Merchandising:
- Storefront Management: Responsible for the daily maintenance and visual merchandising of the OGT website and Amazon Brand Store.
- Landing Page Optimisation: Build and A/B test high-performance landing pages to improve conversion rates for specific campaigns.
- User Journey Mapping: Analyse heatmaps and user flow data to identify and remove friction points in the purchasing process.
Data, Analytics & Reporting:
- Performance Tracking: Utilise GA4, Triple Whale and other similar attribution tools to provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting on key growth metrics.
- LTV & Retention Analysis: Work with the broader team to understand customer lifetime value and how acquisition sources impact long-term retention.
- Creative Feedback Loop: Provide actionable data insights to the content and community teams to refine brand messaging based on what actually converts.
Brand & Strategy:
- Guardianship: Rigorously vet all opportunities against our criteria to protect brand equity.
- Market intelligence: Stay ahead of trends in marketing, ecommerce, outdoor, nutrition and the DTC space to identify ‘first-mover’ opportunities.
Candidate Requirements:
- Industry Experience: 4+ years in Performance Marketing, Growth or Digital Marketing within a high-growth DTC or subscription-based environment.
- Data Obsession: A proven ability to translate complex data sets into clear, actionable growth strategies.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Amazon Seller Central and Shopify.
- AI Literacy: Proficiency using AI tools to augment creativity, conduct data analysis and automate repetitive tasks.
- Creative: You don’t just look at the numbers; you understand why creative assets perform and can iterate and build upon that success.
- Consumer Psychology: You understand the psychological barriers to entry for sustainable products and know how to write hooks that overcome them.
