This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist team during a period of sustained success.
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer, ideally Chartered or near Chartered, who has a strong technical background with steel, concrete, and load bearing masonry. You will have the opportunity to run project teams and work on high calibre schemes, from large multi storey RC mixed use developments in London to complex Victorian refurbishments and structural condition surveys.
The Principal Structural Engineer will:
- Take full accountability for running project teams and managing technical delivery from concept to site.
- Deliver engineering solutions for large-scale housing developments, RC transfer decks, and building conversions.
- Review supplier drawings and seamlessly incorporate technical requirements into project documentation.
- Conduct site visits and attend project meetings, representing the company with professional authority.
- Mentor graduate and less experienced engineers, driving a culture of technical excellence.
- Drive production to meet strict deadlines and coordinate team programmes to ensure timely delivery.
- Occasionally run weekly Q&A seminars and internal CPD sessions.
We are looking for a Principal Structural Engineer with:
- Demonstrable experience in the design of reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, and timber.
- Proven team management skills and the ability to resolve site queries quickly and efficiently.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to work effectively under pressure and take ownership of personal and team Health & Safety.
- Ideally Chartered status (IStructE/ICE) or clearly working towards it with a solid portfolio of UK-based projects.
