We are working with a friendly, people first engineering consultancy where staff retention is incredibly high. They are seeking a Graduate Sustainability Consultant to join their Leeds office. This role is an incredible opportunity for a passionate graduate to work collaboratively with clients to solve complex environmental problems, delivering tailored solutions that meet net-zero carbon goals across both public and private sectors.
The Graduate Sustainability Consultant will:
- Work under the mentorship of senior team members to deliver expert sustainability design advice and technical reports.
- Support the delivery of BREEAM assessments and draft sustainability statements for planning applications.
- Conduct Low Zero Carbon (LZC) feasibility studies and produce passive design analysis reports.
- Utilise One Click LCA software to perform embodied carbon modelling and reporting.
- Engage with a wide variety of projects, from new builds to refurbishments, throughout the entire lifecycle from planning to completion.
- Progress into specialist areas as your knowledge grows, including WELL, Fitwel, SKA, and circular economy assessments.
- Collaborate internally and externally to ensure tailored sustainable methodologies are integrated into every design.
We are looking for a Graduate Sustainability Consultant with:
- A Degree or MSc in an Environmental, Sustainability, Geography, or related discipline.
- An enthusiastic approach to continual learning and a real desire to promote sustainability in the built environment.
- A proactive and well-organised mindset, with the ability to deliver high quality work to tight timescales.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ideally, a working knowledge of BREEAM or experience with One Click LCA (though full training is provided immediately).
- The ability to work on your own initiative while being a committed, collaborative team player.
