The successful Senior Structural Engineer will:
- Take charge of multi-disciplinary design coordination, ensuring technical packages are delivered from initial brief to final handover.
- Create cost-effective, practical structural designs that seamlessly integrate with architectural visions.
- Act as the technical lead on site, attending project meetings to manage client expectations and project progress.
- Support with monitoring of fee income, manage engineering resources, and assist in bidding for new contracts.
- Conduct detailed structural surveys and draft comprehensive reports for a variety of secure environments.
- Mentor the next generation of engineers, guiding junior staff through their training and professional growth.
- Champion BIM and 3D design strategies to ensure all project drawings meet modern digital standards.
We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer with:
- An MEng or BEng degree and a commitment to achieving IStructE or ICE Chartership.
- Active UK SC Clearance (or the eligibility to obtain it), which is essential due to the sensitive nature of the sector.
- Expertise in managing projects valued between £200k and £12m, with a deep understanding of UK Building Regulations.
- The ability to operate within strict client policies and highly regulated frameworks.
