We are growing. Join us in shaping the next stage of our journey. One Frio is a young, fast-growing network in temperature-controlled food logistics - formed by bringing together strong family businesses across the Netherlands and Ireland. We provide reliable cold storage, warehousing, order picking, transport and end-to-end logistics for food products. As we integrate several companies into one group, there's real room to influence how things are done.

The Role

We are hiring a Country Finance Director to own finance for our Irish and Northern Irish businesses. You will lead the finance team across our Irish sites, deliver accurate financial statements and a fast, predictable month-end close, and produce management information that general managers actually act on. You will also lead the ERP migration for Ireland - the defining project of the next two years, and build one regional finance function in place of three separate company teams. This is a rare opportunity to shape how finance runs across an entire country for a fast-growing, PE-backed platform, working closely with the general managers and the wider finance team. You will lead a team of three management accountants, plus finance and administrative support staff across the sites.

What you will do

  • Learn fast, then fix the basics. Get up to speed on the businesses, systems and people. From month three, set the close timetable, fix accruals and cut-off, and get the reporting pack right first time.
  • Own the month-end close. Run a working-day timetable, close on time every month, and produce complete financial statements with proper accruals and cut-off.
  • Report to the group. Deliver the monthly reporting pack to group standard and deadline, and explain performance clearly in writing and in person.
  • Run business reviews. Lead monthly business review meetings with the general managers, bring the numbers, the reasons behind them, and a view on what to do.
  • Lead the ERP migration for Ireland. Plan the migration, prepare the data, redesign processes around the new system, and take every Irish business live and stable on it.
  • Build one common way of working. Replace each business's own processes with one set of processes across all the Irish businesses.
  • Move to a true regional function. Organise the team by process for the region, not by legacy company.
  • Improve processes and manage working capital. Simplify invoicing, the purchase ledger, credit control and payroll; keep receivables, payables and cash under control.
  • Own compliance and audit. Run the year-end audit with the group auditor, and keep VAT, payroll taxes and statutory filings right and on time.

What you will bring

  • Proven leadership of a finance system migration or ERP implementation.
  • A track record of redesigning finance processes rather than running them as found.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), strong in both financial and management accounting.
  • Experience managing a multi-site finance team serving more than one general manager.
  • Confidence running business review conversations with operational managers, backed by the facts.
  • A clear, plain communication style that non-finance colleagues understand.

How you will show up - our values

These values guide how we work together, and they're part of how we recognise and develop people. We'd love to see them reflected in how you approach the role:

  • We are no spectators. You take ownership of outcomes and are happy to step up beyond your immediate tasks.
  • We move fast and fix forward. You're comfortable making decisions, adopting new ways, and keeping things practical and lean.
  • We say what needs to be said. You share your views openly and address issues directly - always with respect.
  • We earn the next load. You deliver consistently to a high standard and build trust through your work.
  • We respect what was here before us. You listen, value local expertise, and build together with people across our sites.

Why One Frio

You will join a growing, innovative company with a clear mission and a sustainable way of working - at a moment when your contribution can really shape how things develop. Expect genuine ownership and an entrepreneurial culture that values teamwork and practical impact, and the chance to help build with us, not just fit into what's already there. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, in line with the role and your experience.
