We work with a wide range of schools and academies, providing high quality, specialist services to support leadership and management in school finance, business management and administration. We offer bespoke training and guidance on finance and business management issues, support revenue and capital budget preparation and monitoring, monthly and annual financial accounts closure and statutory returns.
Responsibilities (illustrative)
- Provide expert financial support to schools and academies on school finance, business management and administration.
- Deliver training and guidance on finance and business management topics.
- Assist with revenue and capital budget preparation and monitoring.
- Support the closure of monthly and annual financial accounts and statutory returns.
- Identify and respond to the financial information needs of schools and academies.
- Contribute to improving financial processes and reporting within the School Finance Team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified to Level 2 in maths and English; experience in a busy environment preferred.
- Experience in education is advantageous but not essential; full training provided.
- CSBM/DSBM, AAT, CIFRA or equivalent qualification desirable but not essential.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills; ability to manage diary commitments and a busy workload; strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to the best interests of schools and the children they serve.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel within Greater Manchester.
