Skills/Experience:
- You may already be an experienced Financial Controller looking to progress your career to the next level.
- You will be CIMA/ACCA/CA qualified with more than 5 years post qualification experience including 3 years in an advanced finance role.
- Your experience will include strong knowledge of management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
- Experience managing cash flow, controls and commercial decision support with strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail is also required.
- Strong proficiency with accounting software (Sage/Access) and Microsoft Excel.
- Flexibility, the ability to manage your own workload and being adaptable to differing tasks, are key to succeeding in this role.
The role:
The successful candidate will work as part of the wider team and has the opportunity to play a key role in a growing construction design business and there is also scope to influence and develop the finance function. Responsibilities will include managing the company’s day-to-day financial activities, ensuring robust financial processes, accurate reporting, effective cash management and compliance with relevant regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as being able to work collaboratively, are essential.
Working closely with the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team, this role will provide financial oversight across the business, monitoring all aspects of financial performance, support strategic decision-making and help drive operational efficiency within the business.
