A well-established infrastructure contractor with a strong reputation delivering complex civil engineering works is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple civil engineering and highways schemes.
Working closely with the Operations Director and senior project teams, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You will also provide leadership and support to Scheme Managers, Project Managers and Site Managers across a portfolio of works.
This role will also have oversight of operational resources and depot activities to ensure projects are delivered efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the safe delivery of multiple civil engineering and infrastructure projects
- Ensure works are carried out in line with health, safety, environmental and quality standards
- Prepare and review key documentation including Construction Phase Plans, RAMS and job packs
- Programme and coordinate labour, plant and materials to maximise project delivery
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Support the tendering process through site visits and reporting for pricing purposes
- Identify and manage temporary works requirements
- Maintain accurate project records to support commercial and operational teams
- Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to project and site teams
- Previous experience working as a Contracts Manager within civil engineering or highways infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and programme management
- SMSTS and CSCS Manager Card
- Experience managing multiple projects and site teams
- Strong understanding of health & safety and quality management processes
