As Commercial Manager, you will take full commercial leadership across the division, overseeing multiple projects and supporting senior operational leadership. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading commercial strategy and contractual governance (NEC & bespoke contracts)
- Managing and developing Quantity Surveyors and commercial teams
- Overseeing tender reviews, pricing strategy, and risk mitigation
- Driving margin protection and commercial performance
- Managing change control, claims, and dispute resolution where required
- Acting as a key interface between operational, technical, and executive teams
This role requires a commercially astute professional who is confident operating at both project and strategic level.
Proven experience as a Commercial Manager within civil engineering or specialist infrastructure is essential, along with strong contractual knowledge (NEC essential; experience with complex forms advantageous), experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects, strong leadership and team development capability, and being commercially strategic, risk-aware, and solutions-focused. You should be comfortable operating within technically complex environments.
