The Role
You will take ownership of the commercial management of live projects from inception through to final account, working closely with operational and senior leadership teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Full commercial management of NEC contracts
- Preparation and agreement of interim applications and final accounts
- Management of change control and compensation events
- Subcontract procurement and commercial oversight
- Cost reporting, forecasting, and risk management
- Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff
- Protecting margin and driving commercial performance
This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident managing projects independently while collaborating across site and commercial teams.
About You
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (essential)
- Experience across infrastructure, highways, groundworks, or utilities
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
- Confident communicator with both site teams and clients
