We are looking for a proactive and motivated individual to join our team to support the business in further growing our flagship award-winning product: AIVR. AIVR (Automated Intelligent Video Review) is a state-of-the-art video technology system used by thousands of people in the rail industry. It is relatively new to our market, rapidly evolving and there are lots of people excited about what more it can achieve.

Role Summary
We are looking for a Junior Systems Engineer to bolster our team. This role will be working between the systems and production departments and based out of our Bristol office. This role also requires travel to sites in any part of the UK. No professional experience or qualification is required for this role but you will need some pre-existing interest and some personal exploration into a related engineering field.
The systems you will be working with might typically consist of technology such as line scanning and machine vision cameras, lighting, laser measurement systems, thermal sensors, industrial embedded Linux, IP networking, GPS/4G/5G, CCTV.
Responsibilities
- Building, configuring and testing systems ranging from portable camera equipment to complex bespoke on-train installations.
- Assist with on-site commissioning and maintenance.
- Carry out work in office and on-site in a safety conscious and professional manner.
- Assist with product development - work with other departments to resolve issues with our products and develop improvements.
- Carry out asset management processes and procedures.
- Carry out research in order to make well informed technical decisions.
- Communicate proactively with other team members to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions and unblock technical issues.
Personal Qualities and Experience
- Self-motivated with good communication and organisational skills.
- Strong delivery-focused work ethic.
- Flexible and adaptable style of approach but with meticulous and systematic attention to detail when it matters.
- Written communication skills, including document/specification comprehension and writing.
- A strong interest in either electrical design, mechanical engineering or IT.
- Bonus: An interest in rail.
