About Us at Causeway Street is a brand-new restaurant bringing fresh, high-quality food to the heart of the area. As a new opening, we’re building a passionate, motivated kitchen team who take pride in consistency, teamwork, and great food.

The Role: We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Chef to join our opening kitchen team. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes to a high standard while maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new restaurant from the beginning and help shape its success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present menu items to the restaurant’s standards
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and plating guidelines
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety
  • Assist with stock rotation, deliveries, and minimising waste
  • Work efficiently during busy service periods
  • Support the Head Chef and wider kitchen team
  • Ensure all food safety and HACCP procedures are followed
  • Contribute positively to a team-focused kitchen culture

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a cook or kitchen assistant (preferred but not essential)
  • A passion for food and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

We are located in Portrush, and in order to apply candidates must be able to reliably commute to Portrush. Also, you must be based in NORTHERN IRELAND as we are unable to offer sponsorship at this moment.
