About Us at Causeway Street is a brand-new restaurant bringing fresh, high-quality food to the heart of the area. As a new opening, we’re building a passionate, motivated kitchen team who take pride in consistency, teamwork, and great food.
The Role: We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Chef to join our opening kitchen team. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes to a high standard while maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new restaurant from the beginning and help shape its success.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, cook, and present menu items to the restaurant’s standards
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and plating guidelines
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety
- Assist with stock rotation, deliveries, and minimising waste
- Work efficiently during busy service periods
- Support the Head Chef and wider kitchen team
- Ensure all food safety and HACCP procedures are followed
- Contribute positively to a team-focused kitchen culture
- Previous experience as a cook or kitchen assistant (preferred but not essential)
- A passion for food and willingness to learn
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
