Ondato is a leading provider of identity verification, compliance, and KYC solutions, helping businesses streamline onboarding processes and stay ahead in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape. We are looking for a Product Compliance Manager (Adult Sector) to ensure that the Company’s adult-sector products and services are designed, implemented, documented and presented in a way that supports customer compliance with applicable UK and US legal and regulatory requirements. The role acts as the primary compliance subject-matter expert for this sector and connects regulatory obligations with product implementation and commercial activity.

What You'll Do:

  • Research and monitor UK, US federal and state laws, regulatory guidance, enforcement developments and industry standards applicable to adult-content and age-restricted services.
  • Identify requirements relevant to identity verification, age assurance, age estimation, user authentication, prevention of access by minors, privacy, biometric data, record-keeping, auditability and online safety.
  • Assess existing products, configurations, technical documentation, data flows, retention settings, user interfaces and evidence records against applicable requirements.
  • Perform and maintain regulatory gap assessments, requirement matrices, risk assessments and market-readiness reviews for relevant jurisdictions and customer use cases.
  • Translate legal and regulatory obligations into clear business, product and technical requirements for Product, Engineering teams.
  • Support Growth and Sales teams by clearly identifying which requirements are fully supported, supported through specific configurations, require additional development, or are not currently supported.
  • Review proposals, questionnaires, tender responses, sales materials and customer communications for regulatory accuracy and help prevent unsupported compliance claims.
  • Support customer due diligence, audits, regulatory questionnaires, contractual reviews and discussions with external advisers, auditors, regulators or industry bodies.
  • Prepare internal guidance, compliance reports, product documentation and training for relevant teams.

What We Are Looking For:

  • At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, legal, policy, trust and safety, privacy or product compliance.
  • Strong understanding of laws and regulatory expectations applicable to adult-content platforms and age-restricted digital services in the UK and/or USA.
  • Practical knowledge of age assurance, age verification, age estimation, identity verification, authentication and access-control processes.
  • Understanding of privacy, biometric and identity-data processing, data minimisation, retention, transparency, accountability and evidence requirements.
  • Experience interpreting complex legal or regulatory requirements and converting them into practical product or technical requirements.
  • Experience performing compliance gap assessments and working with cross-functional Product, Engineering, Sales and Legal teams.
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to challenge inaccurate or unsupported compliance statements.
  • Professional fluency in English and the ability to work independently in a fast-changing and highly scrutinised sector.

What We Offer:

  • A unique opportunity to shape the compliance strategy for Ondato's adult-sector solutions.
  • A high-impact, cross-functional role where you'll work closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Commercial teams to bring regulatory requirements into innovative solutions.
  • A hybrid working model to support flexibility and a healthy work-life balance.
  • An extra paid day off every month to help you recharge.
  • One-off financial support for significant personal life events.
  • Company-wide and team events that bring everyone together.
