Reporting to: Driver Services Team Leader
Contract: Permanent. Hours: Monday – Friday, with occasional Saturdays on a rotational basis. 50 hours per week, (10 hour shift – 1 hour break) on a flexible rotational shift start times between 06:00 -14:00.
The OnCue Transport Team Leader position is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing business and make a real difference to the lives of patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service, as well as the experience and skills necessary to ensure the safe and comfortable transportation of patients.
Key responsibilities of the OnCue Transport Team Leader position:
- Provide assistance to patients with various mobility classifications, transporting them to and from non-emergency medical appointments throughout the UK.
- Working as a two person crew, responsible for either driving the ambulance or supporting the travelling patient.
- Ensure that all patients are collected from their home or medical site and taken to the correct ward or settled at home safely.
- Offer a friendly ear when needed and ensure that your patients always feel comfortable and safe.
- Be responsible for the comfort and safekeeping of all patients in your ambulance.
- Inspect and complete daily vehicle and equipment checks, and wipe down the vehicle.
- Be dependable and on time.
- Help patients with mobility where needed, including the use of a wheelchair to transport them.
- Treat all patients with dignity and respect, providing a quality and dignified service to all patients.
- Report any safeguarding issues or incidents to the team.
- Follow all health and safety procedures as outlined within the bespoke training course.
- Support the leadership team to ensure a well-led service by reporting concerns and communicating with line managers.

OnCue is a CQC registered – MedTech business specialising in the provision of care-led, compliant, and scalable non-emergency patient transport services to ICB’s, NHS Trusts, and Ambulance providers.
Attributes:
The ideal candidate for the OnCue Transport Team Leader position will have the following qualifications and experience:
- 2+ years of driving experience in the UK on a full driving license with no previous penalties for drink driving or insurance-related convictions (even if these are now spent).
- No more than 3 live penalty points on their current driving license.
- Experience from a patient-focused environment is desirable.
- Up-to-date first aid qualification is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided.
- Ideally, good geographical knowledge of the London area.
- Manual UK driving license (required).
- All successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and previous employment referencing.
