About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and commercially minded HR Business Partner to join a global People function supporting teams across the UK, Ireland, and Germany. Everyone in the team contributes to strategic initiatives while also rolling up their sleeves to deliver high-quality operational support.

The role combines day-to-day HR partnering with opportunities to shape and drive people initiatives across multiple jurisdictions during a period of transformation and change. We are looking for someone who enjoys influencing at senior level, brings a strong international mindset, and is confident operating across different employment law frameworks and cultural contexts.

You will have a voice in how we shape our organisation and will be encouraged to bring your whole self to work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic HR Business Partner to leaders and managers across the UK, Ireland, and Germany, providing pragmatic advice and guidance aligned to business objectives.

  • Support leaders through organisational change, transformation, and growth across multiple countries and cultures.

  • Lead and manage Employee Relations cases across all three regions, with particular ownership of complex ER matters in Germany, ensuring compliance with local legislation and best practice.

  • Provide expert guidance on German employment law, including works councils, co-determination, consultation requirements, and local employment practices.

  • Support the design, setup, and implementation of people processes such as performance management, pay reviews, learning initiatives, and talent planning, adapting approaches where required for local legal and cultural requirements.

  • Partner with department heads to understand business needs and translate these into effective people solutions.

  • Oversee and ensure high-quality People administration delivery in partnership with the People Admin team.

  • Manage annual people cycles including salary reviews, performance management, succession planning, and workforce planning across all regions.

  • Partner closely with Finance Business Partners to ensure headcount planning and salary costs are aligned with budgets across the UK, Ireland, and Germany.

  • Ensure employee data accuracy within our people platform, HiBob and that people-related information on the intranet is up to date and compliant with local regulations.

  • In conjunction with department heads, create and deliver action plans following engagement survey results.

  • Ensure all people policies and procedures are reviewed and updated to reflect changes in UK, Irish, and German employment legislation.

  • Collaborate with the wider People team to coordinate and implement wellbeing initiatives across the year.

  • Contribute to the ideation, management, and delivery of ad-hoc People projects at both regional and global level.

What You Will Bring to the Role

  • 3+ years’ experience in an HR Business Partner or similar generalist HR role, ideally within an international or multi-country environment.

  • Proven experience building strong, credible relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Business-level fluency in German (spoken and written), with confidence conducting HR discussions and managing employee relations matters in German.

  • Strong, hands-on knowledge of German employment law, including employee relations, consultation processes, and works council engagement.

  • Solid understanding of UK employment law; knowledge of Irish employment law is desirable.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to adapt style across cultures and seniority levels.

  • A proactive mindset with strong prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment.

  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and remain organised under pressure.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, applying both logical and creative thinking.

  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a global People team.

  • High levels of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

  • Positive attitude, energy, and a strong work ethic.
