Role Summary
We need an experienced Marketo Marketing Automation Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in increasing conversions, nurturing leads, and demonstrating commercial growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of marketing automation principles, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of implementing successful Marketo campaigns.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage lead lifecycle processes, including lead scoring, routing, and attribution, to ensure high‑quality lead flow and accurate performance tracking.
- Work closely with the IT and Sales teams to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure seamless integration of Marketo with Salesforce and other key systems and platforms.
- Collaborate with Content and Sales teams to develop compelling and effective marketing assets—including dynamic content emails and personalised landing pages—to drive engagement and conversion.
- Promote and uphold marketing automation best practices by providing ongoing training and support to Marketing and Sales teams.
- Maintain data hygiene and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing automation strategies using Marketo to drive lead generation, nurture leads through the sales funnel, and increase conversions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align marketing automation efforts with overall business goals.
Lead Nurturing
- Design and implement lead nurturing programs to engage and educate leads at different stages of the buyer’s journey.
- Utilize Marketo’s capabilities to create personalised and targeted communications for maximum impact.
Segmentation And Targeting
- Implement advanced segmentation strategies to target specific audience segments with relevant and personalised content.
- Continuously refine and optimise audience segmentation based on data and performance insights.
Campaign Management
- Plan, execute, and optimise marketing campaigns through Marketo to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Implement A/B testing and other optimisation techniques to improve campaign performance.
Analytics And Reporting
- Utilise Marketo analytics and other relevant tools to track and analyse campaign performance, providing regular reports on key performance indicators.
- Implement data‑driven insights to improve campaign effectiveness and demonstrate ROI.
Integration And Collaboration
- Work closely with the IT and sales teams to ensure seamless integration of Marketo with other systems and platforms.
- Collaborate with content creators and designers to produce compelling and effective marketing assets.
Training And Documentation
- Provide training to marketing and sales teams on Marketo best practices and capabilities.
- Maintain documentation on processes, workflows, and best practices.
Stay Informed And Educated
- Stay up‑to‑date with the latest trends and features in marketing automation and leverage new capabilities to enhance campaigns.
What You Will Need
- A degree or equivalent excellent experience; SaaS experience is a plus.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
- A quick, self‑motivated learner with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams.
- Able and happy to come to our Basingstoke office at least 2‑3 times a week.
- Proven experience in managing marketing automation platforms using Marketo.
- Strong understanding of lead nurturing, segmentation, and campaign management.
- Experience in Salesforce or any CRM.
- Experience of building and automating customer journeys using Marketo.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Marketo certification is a plus.
- Experience of building workflows in Salesforce and Marketo and troubleshooting.
- Passion for marketing automation and a track record of driving commercial growth.
