The Principal Product Manager - eCommerce owns the buyer side of OnBuy, EasyShop, and Comet. This is a direct-report-to-CEO role with no direct reports. It is accountable for identifying, prioritising, and delivering the buyer-side initiatives that materially improve how buyers search, find, choose, basket, checkout, and buy across our businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the Buyer Side of OnBuy, EasyShop, and Comet.
  • Take responsibility for the buyer roadmap and ensure it is focused on the highest-impact commercial opportunities.
  • Act as the clear owner of buyer problems, opportunities, propositions, and performance improvements.
  • Identify and improve the critical points in the buying journey.
  • Drive improvements that make buyers buy more often, more easily, and with greater confidence.
  • Present a practical short, medium, and longer-term plan that explains what to build, why it matters, and how success will be measured.
  • Deliver leaps, not corporate incrementalism.
  • Build fast, clear commercial cases for each major initiative.
  • Work productively with Technology to define what should be built and why it matters commercially.

Requirements:

  • Deep ecommerce, marketplace, retail technology, app commerce, or digital shopping experience.
  • Strong understanding of search, sort, browse, product discovery, PDPs, basket, checkout, payments, and buyer behaviour.
  • A proven record of personally delivering buyer-facing product improvements that moved commercial metrics.
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to connect product decisions to revenue, conversion, retention, and buyer behaviour.
  • A high bias for action and the ability to make good decisions with incomplete information.
  • Strong numerical ability and confidence working with baselines, targets, experiments, funnel metrics, and outcome measurement.
  • A scale-up mindset: pace, resilience, ownership, practicality, and delivery over theatre.
