As On’s Specialist, Material Traceability, you are responsible for leading traceability implementation tasks and providing technical and operational support for supplier onboarding, system data validation, and reporting. The Traceability Specialist works closely with internal teams (sustainability, sourcing teams) and external suppliers to maintain traceability standards, support regulatory compliance, and promote continuous improvement. You will report to the Senior Lead, Material Traceability. This role will be based at On Sourcing offices in HCMC or Hanoi, Vietnam.
Your Mission
- Support the Apparel / Footwear Materials Sourcing team in understanding attributes of the preferred material library and build processes with suppliers to adopt certified materials.
- Participate in new supplier onboarding and work with them to align with our traceability requirements and sustainability guidelines.
- Be the subject matter expert on sustainable materials certification standards, traceability processes & requirements, and the traceability system in Sourcing.
- Maintain effective use of the traceability system.
- Maintain traceability documentation for audits, regulatory reporting, and customer inquiries.
- Identify and escalate any issues or inconsistencies in traceability data, working with relevant teams to resolve them.
- Assist with root cause analysis for traceability-related incidents.
- Generate reports on traceability metrics and performance, providing insights into areas for improvement.
- Support the preparation of traceability data for internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform regular audits of traceability records and flag inconsistencies.
- Develop Traceability Performance KPIs and monitor supplier performance.
- Contribute to the refinement of traceability processes, identifying opportunities to enhance data accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Stay informed of sustainable material standards (such as GRS, GOTS, ISCC+), regulatory changes, and best practices in traceability.
Your Story
- Bachelor’s degree (or above) in Supply Chain Management, Textile Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 3 years of experience in supply chain, data management, or traceability in Apparel, Footwear, or a similar field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data and documentation.
- Knowledge of chain of custody, traceability standards, and regulations.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Interest in supply chain transparency, traceability, and sustainability.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Analytical mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with Google Looker Studio.
- High level of verbal and written English communication skills.
- Effective presentation and communication skills.
