The Lead - Outbound Planning will report to the Senior Lead - Outbound Planning on the Americas Logistics team and support outbound product fulfillment across all omnichannel distribution channels. As the team expands to meet the needs of On’s growing warehouse network, this role will own outbound planning processes for select warehouses, developing and managing granular forecasts that inform labor and capacity planning. Acting as the voice of the warehouse to the business, this role plays a critical part in translating commercial demand into actionable, unit-level operational plans while continuously improving the accuracy and efficiency of our logistics planning processes.
Your Mission
- Own the outbound planning process and cadence for assigned warehouses, including 6-week rolling forecasts, mid-range projections, and capacity outlooks.
- Translate orderbook data and cross-functional inputs into labor and shipping forecasts that support accurate, timely execution across all channels.
- Maintain and optimize forecasting models in Google Sheets, incorporating insights from Looker, D365, and partner teams to improve forecast precision.
- Lead daily and weekly planning cadences with stakeholders across eCommerce, Retail, Wholesale, Finance, Account Services, and warehouse leadership.
- Pulse partners for updates on demand shifts or sales strategy, proactively advising 3PLs and warehouse leads on implications for staffing and throughput.
- Identify and escalate risks or deviations in forecast vs. actuals, driving feedback loops and partnering with stakeholders to course-correct.
- Prepare and present key deliverables for Allocation & Utilization meetings and Monthly Business Reviews, including KPIs, capacity utilization, and warehouse-specific summaries.
- Contribute to documenting and refining outbound planning SOPs, helping to build scalable processes and increase cross-functional clarity.
Your Story
- 6+ years of experience in demand, labor, or logistics planning in an omnichannel consumer goods environment.
- Proficient in Google Sheets or Excel for modeling; comfortable navigating and integrating multiple data systems (e.g., Looker, D365).
- Skilled at turning data into decisions; able to create forecasts, communicate plans, and assess risk or opportunity for operational partners.
- Inquisitive and detail-oriented, with a drive for accuracy and the confidence to challenge unclear or inconsistent data.
- Experienced in process improvement, with a structured and action-oriented mindset for building SOPs and driving scalable change.
