Job Title: Maintenance Technician - Nights
Primary Location: Barry, South Wales
Contract Details: Temporary 9 months
Payrate: Β£30ph Outside IR35
We are currently seeking experienced technicians to join our team on a temporary basis for a period of 9 months. The successful candidates will be based in Barry, South Wales and will be responsible for providing maintenance and FPX's on flirt trains. Candidates must be available to start immediately following a successful medical & drug or alcohol test.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct light maintenance on rolling stock and complete FPX's on flirt trains during permanent night shifts
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within given timeframes
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
- Keep accurate records of work completed
Requirements:
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in a relevant engineering discipline
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the rail industry
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of rolling stock maintenance
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and team working skills
- Flexibility to work night shifts and potentially weekends if required
