We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer for both commercial and domestic environments with experience in plumbing to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for gas work and some plumbing work across several New Homes projects in the Coventry and Warwickshire area.
This Gas Engineer role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations, as well as the ability to work effectively with various tools and equipment. The Plumber / Gas Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients receive high-quality service while adhering to industry standards.
The ideal candidate will also have experience of using scissor lifts or cherry pickers and have an IPAF license. Experience of servicing tube heaters and Powermatic/Combat space heaters would be beneficial.
Responsibilities:- Install and maintain gas appliances in a domestic and commercial environment.
- Conduct routine inspections and safety checks on gas installations to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty gas systems and appliances efficiently.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their gas systems.
- Proficient in welding techniques for various applications.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong plumbing skills for installation and maintenance tasks.
- Solid mechanical knowledge to understand complex systems and troubleshoot issues.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.
- Carpentry skills for any necessary structural modifications during installations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during installation processes.
- Valid commercial driving licence preferred for transportation of equipment and materials.
- Experience in assembly tasks related to gas appliances is advantageous.
