My client is looking for a skilled and reliable Domestic & Commercial Electrician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of electrical installation, testing, inspection, and maintenance works across domestic and commercial properties. A key part of this role will involve working with NICEIC and supporting the business in reacquiring and maintaining NICEIC accreditation, ensuring all works meet the highest standards of compliance and safety.
Main Responsibilities:
- Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, testing, and inspection works in domestic and commercial environments
- Complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), certification, and remedial works
- Ensure all work complies with current BS 7671 Wiring Regulations
- Liaise professionally with clients, providing clear explanations and excellent customer service
- Engage with NICEIC, including preparation for assessments and audits
- Support the company in reacquiring and maintaining NICEIC accreditation
- Accurately complete job reports, certification, and compliance documentation
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping on all sites
- Identify opportunities for additional works and provide technical advice where appropriate
Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
- City & Guilds 2365 Level 2 & 3 (or equivalent electrical qualification)
- City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection (or equivalent)
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- AM2 or AM2S
- Proven experience working in both domestic and commercial settings
- Strong knowledge of current electrical regulations (BS 7671)
- Experience dealing directly with clients in a professional manner
- Familiarity with NICEIC requirements and processes
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
- Qualifications or experience in EV charger installations
- Qualifications or experience in solar PV installations
- Previous involvement in NICEIC assessments or audits
Training can be provided for EV charger and solar installations for the right candidate.
