My client is looking for a HR Specialist for their Head Office in Darlington. This is a technology company that sells Managed Print Services. This is for immediate start.
Hours: 9-5 Monday-Friday
Holiday: 25 days + birthday off

Location: Home-based with travel to, option to work at Anglotech Group offices (Darlington, Plymouth, Essex, Harpenden, Chichester, London E17 and Woking)
Reporting to: Group Operations Director
Headcount supported: Approx. 75 employees (growing through acquisition)
Role Overview: My client is seeking a proactive and commercially aware HR professional to take ownership of day-to-day HR operations across the Group while supporting ongoing acquisitions and organisational growth. This is a hands-on, standalone HR role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, evolving business and can confidently manage both operational HR and strategic project work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all generalist HR activity across a workforce of approximately 75 employees
- Provide practical HR advice and guidance to managers and leadership
- Oversee employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, probation, performance, absence, disciplinaries, and leavers
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with UK employment legislation
Acquisitions & TUPE:
- Support the Group Operations Director with HR aspects of company acquisitions
- Attend acquisition completion days where required
- Lead and manage TUPE consultation processes end-to-end
- Ensure smooth integration of transferring employees into Group policies, systems, and culture
Compliance, Policies & Documentation:
- Keep all HR policies, handbooks, and legal documentation up to date
- Ensure ongoing compliance with UK employment law and HR best practice
- Draft and amend employment contracts, including salary, holiday entitlement, hours, and title changes
Systems & Benefits:
- Maintain and update the Breathe HR system with accurate employee data
- Review and develop employee benefits across the Group
- Support initiatives that enhance employee engagement, wellbeing, and retention
Experience & Skills Required:
- Proven experience in a standalone or senior generalist HR role
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR compliance
- Demonstrable experience managing TUPE processes
- Experience supporting business acquisitions or organisational change (desirable)
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
- Highly organised, discreet, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working remotely with travel across UK offices when required
