About the Role

As a Software Engineer IC2 (Mid Level) in Search Experience Engineering, you will build modern full‑stack applications and customer‑facing experiences that shape how customers discover and shop for holidays. This full‑stack role focuses on frontend engineering, performant web applications, and customer experience. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and analysts to deliver high‑quality solutions that improve customer outcomes and business performance.

Responsibilities

  • You will help design and build the customer journeys that aid millions of people in discovering and booking their perfect holiday.
  • From search and discovery to personalization and package customization, the team creates fast, intuitive, and high‑performing experiences.

Qualifications

  • Building scalable full‑stack applications and customer‑facing platforms
  • Strong frontend engineering skills using modern web technologies and frameworks
  • Developing backend APIs and distributed systems
  • Building performant, accessible, and reliable user experiences
  • Working with cloud‑native technologies and modern engineering practices

Interview Process

After a call with our Talent Acquisition Team, we will run a three‑stage interview process all on Microsoft Teams, which will consist of:

  • Hiring Manager meet & greet – 30 minutes
  • Behavioural & ways of working – 60 minutes
  • Tech pairing – 60 minutes

Ways of Working

Full‑time hours are 37.5 per week, but we don’t have rigid working hours. Core working hours are between 10 am and 4 pm, enabling collaboration and social interaction. We have hybrid working, with you working from home and from our Aeroworks office in Manchester City Centre. You’ll be in the office one day every two weeks and can come in more if you’d like.
