About the Role

The Overheads Business Partner is responsible for working with key stakeholders providing financial support to optimise overhead spend and support the business growth objectives. The role will work closely with stakeholders across the business, providing accurate and timely reporting and ensuring a robust forecasting process is in place.

What you’ll be doing day to day:

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports analysing variances in overhead costs including Tech, People, Finance and Legal.
  • Work closely with the Management accounts team to support the month end close process, ensuring accurate and timely monthly overhead reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to prepare and review budgets for overhead costs, providing insight and analysis to support the Group planning process.
  • Develop robust forecasting models for overhead lines, working closely with stakeholders to identify cost trends, drivers and opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to understand the business needs and provide guidance, support and challenge for initiatives, projects and investments.
  • Establish KPIs for overhead departments and regularly monitor performance against these metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting, and controls within overhead functions.
  • Work closely with finance and commercial business partners to drive forward the analysis and reporting across the overheads functions.

You’ll be a great addition to our team if you have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

  • ACA or equivalent qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years PQE or qualified by experience with time in a business partnering role.
  • Strong finance knowledge with the ability to comprehend business issues and develop coherent & comprehensive business solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in large private/listed organisations with tight reporting deadlines is preferred.

We’ll run a multiple stage interview process, one stage of which will be an in-person interview at our fabulous Aeroworks office in Manchester city centre. Ways of working:

Our full time hours are 37.5 per week, but we don't have rigid working hours so you can find the working pattern that's right for you. We have core working hours between 10am - 4pm, so we can collaborate and enjoy the social side of work. We also have hybrid working so we all work from home and from our Aeroworks office in Manchester City Centre. As a team we are in the office 2 days per week (usually Tuesday & Wednesday).
