With a strong focus on improving patient outcomes and supporting healthcare professionals, our client offers a portfolio of fungal diagnostics. As a Technical Sales Specialist for the UK and Ireland, you will serve as the sales and primary technical support for our fungal diagnostic products. You will play a key role in driving product sales and supporting clinical laboratories and healthcare providers through training, troubleshooting, implementation, and ongoing support.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Drive sales by identifying customer needs, presenting solutions, and closing deals across the territory.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers.
  • Deliver on-site and remote training to laboratory personnel and clinicians.
  • Support customers during product installation, validation, and routine use.
  • Build strong relationships with laboratory managers, microbiologists, and infectious disease specialists.
  • Provide feedback from the field on customer needs, market trends, and competitor activity.
  • Attend and exhibit at tradeshows, conferences and events within the territory.

Qualifications

Required:

  • BSc or MSc in Biomedical Science, Microbiology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
  • Full UK Driver’s License.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the UK (up to 60%) and Ireland (10%).

Preferred:

  • Experience with fungal diagnostic products or fungal biomarker assays is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with antigen and/or molecular testing is preferred.
  • 2 years’ experience in a clinical laboratory or diagnostic applications role is strongly preferred.

Package

  • Basic: Β£35,000-Β£42,000 + 20% OTE
  • Package: Laptop + Mobile Phone
  • Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays
  • UK mileage: 10k mi @ Β£0.45 + additional @ Β£0.25 per mile
  • Company Pension Scheme (5% employee, 3% employer)
