This Export Contracts Manager role is focused on leading the Sales Administration team while managing commercial contracts for complex, international deals. The Export Contracts Manager will be the go-to expert for trade finance, credit terms, and logistics. The Export Contracts Manager will play a central role in ensuring smooth customer fulfilment while driving operational excellence across the department.

Package: £70,000–£85,000 basic salary, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, bonus scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Sales Administration team (8 people), including 2 direct reports
  • Negotiate and draft complex commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with sanctions and legal standards
  • Manage trade finance instruments like Letters of Credit and bonds in partnership with the group COE
  • Oversee logistics for large-scale projects, ensuring contract compliance and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate invoicing, shipment, and payment processes to ensure they are completed within terms
  • Maintain strong relationships with external banks, ECAs, and shipping agents
  • Drive internal process improvements and monitor KPIs and departmental budget
  • Advise on credit terms and attend monthly debtors meetings

  • Strong background in commercial contracts
  • Some experience with Export process
  • Experience managing customer service or sales administration teams
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and analytical skills
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a matrix environment
