Role Description

The Construction Manager role is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Leeds. The Construction Manager will oversee day‑to‑day site operations, including coordinating trades, managing schedules, and ensuring work is completed to the required quality standards. Responsibilities include monitoring project progress, supervising site personnel and subcontractors, and maintaining compliance with construction safety regulations and company policies. The role involves supporting project control activities such as tracking milestones, managing budgets, and reporting on project status to stakeholders. The Construction Manager will also collaborate with clients, designers, and suppliers to resolve issues, maintain clear communication, and ensure timely completion of project deliverables.

Qualifications

• Strong supervisory skills, including leading site teams, managing subcontractors, and promoting a collaborative working environment.
• Proficiency in construction safety practices and regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant site.
• Solid experience in construction operations, including planning, coordinating, and delivering projects to quality standards.
• Capability in budgeting and project control, including cost tracking, scheduling, and reporting on project performance.
• Relevant experience as a Construction Manager or similar role within the construction industry.
• Knowledge of building regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on meeting deadlines.
• Relevant vocational qualification or degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
