On-Site International are looking for a HSE Lead for a project in Linz, Austria starting Mid July.

Applicants must have a passport that allows them to work in Austria - UK passports no longer act as a valid work permit in the EU. UK passport holding applicants must have a right to work VISA for Austria.

Rate: €48/hour

Duties:

  • Act as the senior site-based EHS lead for construction, installation, commissioning and/or operational works.
  • Lead implementation of the project EHS plan and ensure alignment with client standards, Austrian legislation and company procedures.
  • Carry out regular site inspections, safety walks, audits and behavioural observations; identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are closed out promptly.
  • Review and approve RAMS, permits to work, lift plans, temporary works documentation, contractor safety plans and task-specific risk assessments.
  • Manage high-risk activities including work at height, lifting operations, confined spaces, hot works, excavation and plant/pedestrian segregation.
  • Lead incident, near-miss and hazardous-condition reporting, investigation, root-cause analysis and corrective-action tracking.
  • Coordinate subcontractor EHS performance, inductions, toolbox talks, daily briefings and safety leadership meetings.
  • Maintain EHS records, dashboards, KPI reporting, training matrices and evidence required for client audits.
  • Support emergency-response planning, drills and site welfare arrangements.
  • Liaise professionally with the client, principal contractor, local authorities in English.

Hours: Monday - Friday 7am-5pm, Potential of Saturdays

Duration: Until March 2027 - opportunity to extend
